Chinthurst School is an independent Nursery, Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory School for boys and girls aged 2½ to 13, based in Tadworth Surrey. It is a charitable trust. The School is a member of the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS).<ref name="isuk1">Template:Cite web</ref>

School history

The school was founded in 1908 by Miss Alice Katherine Atkins, who first used the grounds of an old perfume factory and later moved the school to a farm field bought some two years later.<ref name="chint-hist" />

In 2011 Chinthurst was shortlisted for Outstanding Financial/Commercial Initiative in the independent Schools Awards.<ref name="FIS1">Template:Cite web</ref>

Chinthurst's Under 11 Rugby team qualified for the South East Regional Finals in the National School Rugby Tournament in 2009.<ref name="Davies">Template:Cite news</ref>
