Richmond Golf Club is a private golf club whose 18-hole course now occupies the historic Sudbrook Park adjacent to Richmond Park, in Petersham, south west London. The Grade I listed building, Sudbrook House, in the park, is now the clubhouse.

History

The club was established in 1891 and met in the 'Fox and Duck' public house, before obtaining the lease of Sudbrook Park and House in 1898.<ref name="Fison">Template:Cite book</ref>

Course

The course lies between the A307 road and the western boundary of Richmond Park at the foot of the hill, overlooked by Pembroke Lodge. The Sudbrook stream flows through the course.

The course was designed by Tom Dunn in 1896, one of many laid out by Dunn during the explosion of popularity of the sport in the late 19th century.<ref name="GA">Template:Cite web</ref>

Other facilities

The course also has a pro shop and the house is hired commercially as a venue for weddings and other events.
