Template:Multiple issues The Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart (formerly known as Stadtbücherei Stuttgart) is the public library of the city of Stuttgart.

Central Library

From 1965 on, the Central Library of Stuttgart has been located in the Wilhelmspalais in Stuttgart. This building was built 1834 - 1840 by Giovanni Salucci. It was the place of residence of King Wilhelm II. In 2011 the Central library moved to the newly built Stadtbibliothek am Mailänder Platz.


The public library of Stuttgart is arranged in the department of culture at the administration of Stuttgart. There is a department for children's library, music library, art library, information literacy, aged people, administration and using.
