Template:Infobox hotel The Halkin (styled as The Halkin by COMO) is a luxury boutique 5-star hotel in London, England. It is located in Belgravia, one of London's most affluent districts, just to the east of Belgrave Square near Grosvenor Crescent. It is operated by the COMO Hotels and Resorts Group, and has the distinction of being their first property. It is also considered to be one of the first boutique hotels in London. The Halkin has a Georgian-styled façade of bricks and stone, but its interior and its 41 rooms and suites uses a warm contemporary design. The interior was designed by Italian designer Edith Leschke.

Restaurants of note

The Halkin originally hosted a Michelin-starred Thai restaurant named nahm, which was run by Australian chef David Thompson. The Halkin hosted nahm from 2001 until December 15, 2012. In 2010, a second (and currently only) nahm restaurant was opened at the Metropolitan Bangkok.

Ametsa with Arzak Instruction

In March 2013, a new restaurant was opened called Ametsa with Arzak Instruction (commonly referred to as simply Ametsa), serving Basque cuisine and run by a team that includes Elena Arzak and her father Juan Mari Arzak. The Arzaks are renowned for their family restaurant in Spain, the Michelin 3-starred Arzak, and Elena was named Best Female Chef in the World in 2012. Ametsa is their first venture outside of their native country.

In September 2013, Ametsa received a Michelin star as well as 3 Rosettes in the 2014 AA Restaurant Guide.

Ametsa’s interior was designed by Ab Rogers Design, taking inspiration from the original Arzak restaurant. The focal point is a wave-like ceiling created from 7000 hanging glass tubes.
